Le Feu Eye fireplaces produce around 2.0 to 3.0 kW of heat, equivalent to a small gas or electric stove. The amount of CO2 produced by the fireplace is small and similar to the level emitted by a candle. Ethanol-based biofuels produce clean, smokeless heat without the harmful emissions produced by conventional fossil fuels and wood-burning stoves. We recommend that if the fireplace is used in small rooms and the burner is at maximum setting, the door(s) or a window should be opened to provide air circulation and prevent indoor air pollution.
The burning time of bioethanol depends on the burner setting used and the conditions in which the fireplace is placed. In rooms with strong airflow, the burn time may be shorter. It is estimated that 1.6 litres of fuel can last up to 4 to 5 hours, depending on the conditions.
